Beijing, 9th May 2024 (BISTU)--- Delegation of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology headed by Director Jiang Guangzhi conducted survey at BISTU on 9th May 2024. Chairman Xie Jiangling of University Council met with the delegation.
Jiang Guangzhi commented that BISTU has distinctive feature in information technology, strong momentum in sci-tech innovation, and great potential in commercialization of research achievements. Establishment of Empowerment Center of Digital Transformation in Small-and-Medium Enterprises with Changping District and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Town for Information Technology Innovation with Tongzhou District showed BISTU’s endeavor in serving innovation-oriented development of Beijing and our nation. Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology would provide optimized services with the University in respect of pairing demands and building channels. Regarding the Center and the Town, in the first place, a long-standing planning was requested. Empowerment Center of Digital Transformation in Small-and-Medium Enterprises was expected to become a model institution for digital transformation of small and medium enterprises in Beijing. Second, exploration was requested to form a feasible scheme. Building Empowerment Center of Digital Transformation in Small-and-Medium Enterprises and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Town for Information Technology Innovation was an opportunity to promote high-end, intelligent, green industries with BISTU-featured strengths. And third, the Center and the Town should be put in big-picture thinking with policy support and resource sharing.
Xie Jiangling expressed thanks to Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology for the support and advice. As a key university administered by Beijing Municipality, BISTU has cultivated new momentum in serving national and municipal development. Based in Changping District, we serve the development of Changping. Rooted in Beijing, we spare no efforts to contributing to Beijing. Building Empowerment Center of Digital Transformation in Small-and-Medium Enterprises and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Town for Information Technology Innovation was a practical move of the University in embedding our strengths in higher education with serving high-quality development of Beijing. We would explore an outstanding paradigm for coordinated interconnectivity among government, university, and enterprise and for in-depth government-industry-learning integration. He added that we sincerely hoped to promote integration of four chains, i.e., education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain, to bring new momentum to digital transformation and industrialization in Beijing.
Vice President Wang Xingfen introduced progresses with building Empowerment Center of Digital Transformation in Small-and-Medium Enterprises and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Town for Information Technology Innovation.
Suggestions from Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology were also provided by Deputy Director Su Guobin of the Bureau, Director Ma Yunfei of General Administration Office, Director Yang Jingguo of Small and Medium Enterprise Department, Director You Jing of Information and Software Service Department, Deputy Director Zou Genhong of Planning Office, and Deputy Director Xia Mo of Changping District Bureau of Economy and Information Technology.
