Beijing, 9th May 2024 (BISTU)--- Jointly sponsored and launched by BISTU, BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd., and Gansu Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, National Industry-Education Integration Community for Semiconductor Display Industry greeted its inauguration ceremony at BOE Technological Innovation Center on 8th May 2024. The Meeting was attended by Director Hao Zhiqiang of Education and Test Center of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Feng Qiang, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Office of BOE, BISTU President Guo Fu, Zheng Limei, Deputy Director of Development Center for Machinery Industry Education, Wei Wanjun, first-tier investigator of Electronic Software Division of Department of Industry and Information Technology of Gansu Province, and President Zhao Yanjun of Gansu Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.  

Hao Zhiqiang said that establishment of the Community carried important implications for building a mechanism of integrated development for industries, innovation, talent cultivation, and educational development. It was expected that the community would lay focus on human resources and industries to nurture high-quality technical professional, form a set of replicable experiences and practices, and hold onto the mutual-beneficial principle of opening-up to the outside world to build the Community into a trans-regional platform of industrial resources sharing. It would greatly promote industrial development and scientific and technological innovation. He added.  

Guo Fu addressed the Inauguration Ceremony. Establishment of the Community as an important platform for in-depth integration between industry and education was an important move of industries, educational institutions, and scientific and technological circle to jointly contribute to the new productive forces. It would construct both a horizontal and vertical collaboration system of talent cultivation between industries and educational institutions. Systematic integration among industry, education and industrial innovation would be strengthened to bring along more new models and fresh momentum. The lead of China in semiconductor display industry would then be enhanced. He added that BISTU is competent and is willing to contribute to the Community while centering on the demand of the new round of science and technology revolution, promoting innovation in ideas, system, mechanism, and organization, and attaching importance to key factors in “three-in-one” development (education, sci-tech, and talent). Guo Fu is convinced that the Community would become a strategic platform for in-depth industry-education integration and effective cooperation between industries and educational institutions. It would empower the high-quality development of national semiconductor display industry.  

Feng Qiang expressed that the Community was a sure step in facilitating talent cultivation system and promoting industrial development. As a lead company of the Community, BOE would spare no efforts to making contributions in respect of resources, talent cultivation and educational curricula. Meanwhile, BOE would endeavor to promote collaboration between enterprises and educational institutions to enhance innovation and sci-tech development.  

Zheng Limei expressed that talent was the core element and education was the foundation in invigorating China. The Community gathered quality educational resources and industrial resources, facilitated organic connections among education, talent, industry, and innovation, and would greatly spur technological innovation in the field of semiconductor display. She expected that the Community would become a model organization of industry-education integration.  

The distinguished guests jointly launched the National Industry-Education Integration Community for Semiconductor Display Industry.  

Membership recognition ceremony was also held for the Community. On behalf of BISTU, Vice President Wang Xingfen received the plaque of Board President Institution of the Community.  

Establishment of the Community is an actual practice to implement the guideline of the 20th CPC National Congress on promoting “collaborative innovation in vocational education, higher education, and continuing education and promote integration between vocational education and general education, between industry and education, and between science and education.”Consisting of over 100 members including industrial organizations, educational institutions, research institutes, and enterprises, the Community was guided by Education and Test Center of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Development Center of Machinery Industry Education, Gansu Education Department, and Gansu Department of Industry and Information Technology and co-led by BISTU, BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd., and Gansu Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.  

The event was joined by representatives of membership institutions, representatives of semiconductor enterprises, and directors of BISTU divisions and schools including General Administration Office, Academic Affairs Office, and School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronic Engineering.
