BISTU Honored with First Prize in the 4th Beijing Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers and Advanced to National Finals

Beijing, 6th May 2024 (BISTU)--- BISTU faculty achieved a new record high in terms of the level of awards, the number of awards, the number of teams advancing to the national finals in Beijing Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers, with 6 teachers standing out of all 366 contestants in the 4th Beijing Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers.    

    

The team led by Wu Lang won a first prize of new engineering group (intermediate professional titles) and advanced to the national finals.  

   

The team led by Hao Yuxin won a second prize of specialty foundation course group (senior professional titles) and the team led by Sun Jianghong won a third prize of new engineering group (senior professional titles).  

   

The winners of outstanding awards of political and ideological education group (senior professional titles), new engineering group (associate senior professional titles), and new liberal arts group (intermediate professional title) were respectively the teams led by Wang Jun, Zhang Fang, and Zhang Qichao.  

   

Sponsored by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, the 4th Beijing Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers was themed on promoting teaching innovation and nurturing first-class talents. It was aimed to facilitate innovative development of information technology and higher educational teaching and to enhance teaching quality in higher educational institutions. Municipal-level of the Contest saw 23 first prize winners, 37 second prize winners, 76 third prize winners, and 108 outstanding award winners.  

The University attached great importance to enhancement of teaching capabilities of faculty. Academic Affairs Office has made thorough preparations for the Contest, which provided support for the outstanding performance of the 6 teams.  

A series of activities aiming to enhance teaching quality would be held in near future to build a platform for inter-school and in-school faculty exchange and communication, strengthen teaching capabilities of faculty, and provide intellectual support with high quality development of the University.
